Amrita Arishta is an Ayurvedic preparation utilizing Guduchi or Amrita as the primary herb. It is well known for its antipyretic action and useful for all types of fever both acute or chronic. It’s effective for all fever-related symptoms of weakness, fatigue, and body ache. Amrita Arishtam is a potent immune modulator that helps to activate, boost, or restore normal immune function.
Amrita Arishtam and all arishtams are made with sugar and self-generates about 5-10 percent alcohol. The alcohol is very important as it extracts the properties of the herbs and increases the absorption into the body. Amrita Arishtam balances all dosas and is especially useful for pitta.
