Gastritis is a common digestive disorder in modern day. It is a chronic irritation in the stomach characterized by nausea, bloating, stomach pain, vomiting, indigestion, burning sensation in the stomach, loss of appetite and black stools. It can be caused by excessive alcohol use, stress, chronic vomiting, bile reflux, infections, pernicious anemia and the regular use of anti-inflammatory medications like aspirin. In terms of Ayurveda, gastritis is caused by excess Pitta Dosha and often Vata as well.
Luckily Kottakkal has an Ayurvedic medicine called Acidact Tablets that act quickly on problems such as gastritis, acid peptic disorders and dyspepsia. It is a combination of four herbs: Pushkaramoola, Erandamoola, Yavam and Dhanvayashamoola.
